Mission Statement

HYFL strives to teach attributes such as sportsmanship, hardwork, and teamwork, along with the fundamentals of football in a safe and encouraging environment. Our program utilizes the attendance zones of elementary and junior high schools within KISD. Students in grades Pre-K through 6 will have the opportunity to participate on school based squads as players, or cheerleaders. Our goal is to give our young players a better understanding of the same game they will be playing in junior and senior high school, by providing coaching assistance from the high school coaches. HYFL teams will be taught basic play formations used by junior and senior high school teams. By becoming familiar with the basic formations and patterns at an earlier age, players will be more skilled and knowledgable in their upcoming playing years.
